  1. Understand the 4 Roles of Your Metabolism - You think it’s just in charge of weight loss but it has 3 other roles outside of that, and the more you cut calories, fast and give up carbs to lose weight without understanding the other 3, your body will store fat instead of burning it. It’s literally the way your body was wired to protect you. And you’re pushing on #4 so hard trying to get results, but if the first 3 aren’t fueled—fat loss is off the table period. If eating 1200 calories drops the first 5 pounds and then your scale is frozen, that’s your metabolism saying it needs more fuel not less.

  2. Ditch the Rules

Contrary to what you’re seeing in billion ads, food noise actually isn’t something you’re born with. It’s a by-product of your relationship with food.

Listen I’m actually a fan of GLPs for the right person—they’re an amazing tool, but here’s the thing. 90% of women we work with are constantly thinking about food because they’re constantly restricting and dieting. And food noise gets louder the more you restrict.

Food is not moral. Eating a cookie đŸȘ doesn’t make you bad. Eating a salad đŸ„—Â doesn’t make you good. And listen I know you believe those things because you’ve done every diet under the sun and each one comes with a new food rule that you add to the list, long after the diets done.

Every rule you subconsciously stack—is creating fear and distrust in your body. And your brain shifts into chronic restraint. This is why you feel hyper-vigilance around food—your brain now has to constantly monitor and suppress eating urges to fit into the rules you’ve given it. It’s working overtime.

And the crazy thing is the monitoring itself CREATES more food thoughts. The rules drive the food noise. Not your genetics.

When I rebuilt my metabolism and lost 30lbs I didn’t start with more “you can’t eat this” bullshit or a shot, I started by healing my relationship with food FIRST.

When you eat to rebuild your metabolism that’s exactly what you do. Because when you let go of the rules and you actually understand the science behind how your body truly works, you realize that none of that shit mattered in the first place. You can become the woman who eats everything and never thinks “is this going to make me fat” and has a peaceful relationship with food instead of being at constant war with the noise in her head.

  3. Add vs. Subtract

Wait, a health coach is telling you not to remove anything from your diet? Listen, I know this isn’t your first attempt at weight loss—you’ve done it more times than you can count. And every diet gives you a new “this food is the root of all evil” rule. And you’re doing these things because you WANT to be healthy, but all those rules are actually disordered thinking about food wrapped up and sold to you as healthy.

Two things happen when you restrict

    1. You ruin your relationship with food—it’s why you stare at a menu and feel so confused with what the healthy choice even is, and end up saying F-it and ordering the burger and fries, and then feel guilty about it for the next 24 hours.
    2. You are guaranteed to go off the rails sooner rather than later. It’s not your willpower—it’s your metabolism begging for energy. And what I know about you is you’re not just interested in losing weight for a few weeks, you literally want to never have to solve this problem again.

Instead, focus on adding in more of the good-for-you things FIRST (see #4) and leave room for the wine, the cookie, the foods that bring you joy!

  4. Slow is Fast (THIS ONE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT)

I stopped panic dieting before every vacation and judging whether something was working by how quickly the scale moved. I set goals for where I wanted to be in 6-12 months NOT 6 weeks, and because I wasn’t starving my metabolism, I lost weight without cravings and was able to stay consistent. It was never my willpower—always how I was fueling.

Because here’s the thing, losing weight fast (naturally or on a GLP) means you are under-fueling your metabolism significantly to get those results. And in your 40s and beyond your metabolism rebels against that.

And it makes keeping the weight off once you hit your goal almost impossible. The more pressure you put on your metabolism while you’re losing weight, the more likely you are to regain it, 80% more likely once you’re not weighing your chicken or counting your almonds. It’s not because of the food that you’re eating, it’s because of what you did to your metabolism in the process. And solving the same problem again and again is literally the slowest way possible.

And I know what you actually want is to solve this for once and move on. When you protect your metabolism while you’re losing the weight stays off long term while you live your life. Even on weeks when your nutrition isn’t “perfect” or you skip a workout.

  5. I Started Living 80/20 the Right Way

I used to think it worked like this— If I eat really clean 80% of the time then I get to eat whatever I want 20% of the time.

I’d skip meals during the week, eat dry salads and then promise that I’d just have one cheat day during the weekend and be good the rest of the days.

But when Friday hit, I’d go bat shit crazy. I’d blame what happened Friday-Sunday but it was actually what was happening Monday-Friday.

How you approach the 80% is WHY you go off the rails the 20% of the time and then start over every Monday.

When you restrict all week, your body drops leptin (your fullness hormone) and spikes ghrelin (your hunger hormone).

    It's not willpower—it's hormones.

Your metabolism is literally creating a biological rubber band effect and the harder you pull back during the week, the harder your hormones snap you forward on the weekend. The only way to stop the snap is to stop pulling the rubber band in the first place.

My metabolism was starving during the week. Me going off the rails was my body craving energy not my lack of willpower.

When I went all in on rebuilding my metabolism and ditching the diet rules—I started nourishing my body 80% of the time instead of starving it.

Almost overnight I became someone who could eat a single piece of chocolate and move on. Who could have the pizza without it turning into a 3 day binge fest. The food noise literally disappeared without a shot. When you fuel your body properly 80% of the time you get freedom 20% of the time without guilt, without regret.

And you hit your goal weight and stay there because you’ve built a relationship with food that doesn’t feel like you’re at war every Monday.

Here's what I wish someone had told me when I was eating healthy, doing all the things, and weight loss still felt like a battle...

Most women are quietly working AGAINST their metabolism without even realizing it — and it has nothing to do with willpower.

It runs on two things: science and history. The science is the same for everyone. But your history is yours alone — it's why your girlfriend did keto and lost 20lbs... and you gained 3 😅

There's usually one thing in your history that's stalling you right now.
