Intent: Teach them something they don’t know about something they KNOW
Theme: Your metabolism’s JOB in your body (multiple roles 👀)
Weight loss is just barely scratching the surface of what your metabolism is actually in control of.
“Alright friends, it’s 4 o’clock — we're gonna get started here. Amanda’s gonna keep letting people in as we go. If you're in VIP and want to drop something in the chat that you’ve learned already today — I would love to know.”
“For those of you I haven’t met yet — I’m Coach Jen. And along with Amanda — who’s in the room — we co-own First Nutrition Coaching. We're both incredibly passionate about helping women ditch diet culture, heal their metabolism, and build strong, sustainable bodies that keep up with the lives you're building.”
“Let me share a quick piece of my story before we dive in — because maybe you’ll hear some of yourself in it.”
“Like so many of us, I grew up in that classic 80s/90s diet culture — thinking that to be worthy, to love myself, I had to shrink my body into the tiniest version possible. And I chased that with every diet imaginable — I did the SlimFast diet, the cabbage soup diet, the master cleanse, South Beach... starting at age 12.”
“Over time, I completely wrecked my relationship with food and my body — and I destroyed my metabolism. For years, I believed I just had a ‘slow one.’ That if I wanted to feel good in my body, I’d have to diet forever to keep the weight off.”
“But what I didn’t know — was that the dieting itself was the very thing making it impossible to get lasting results.”
“We’ll go deeper into my full story later this week, but I want you to know — after years of yo-yo dieting and hating my body into change, I decided I was ready to blaze a new path.”
Because I literally remember being right where you are—so confused with everything I saw on (at that time it was Facebook) and it was like…go keto, do whole 30, you have to fast. And I had literally tried all of those things and then they’d work until they didn’t. And none of them felt like something I could truly sustain long-term.
And the truth was, I actually didn’t care about the things I cared about in my 20s—it wasn’t about how small I could make the number on my jeans anymore.
I wanted to feel strong. I wanted energy — for being a mom, a wife, building businesses. I was tired of starting and stopping. I wanted a lifestyle but like real energy and habits that were just part of who I was.
And honestly? All of that started when I learned to master my metabolism.
- I became the person who could have a piece of chocolate and move on.
- All the food noise about being good or bad completely quieted down.
- I could go out to pizza with my kiddo without feeling like I failed and the next day I would get on the scale adn it would be exactly the same.
- And because I was fueling my metabolism my energy went through the roof. I started saying yes to all the things I was saying I was too tired or too slow for before. I became the mom who was bombing down the ski hill with her kiddo instead fo meeting him in the lodge at the end of the day and feeling like I had missed everything.
And here’s the thing…..When I got started I had no idea what metabolism actually was—I literally thought mine was just slow because of my family history.
I thought that because of that (and I actually remember saying this) that I was someone who just looked at a brownie and gained weight and my true belief was that in order for my metabolism to keep the weight off it meant that I always had to be on a diet.
And I thought that managing weight was it’s only job and all I had control over was how little I ate or how much cardio I ddi.
And that is why you are here this week. Is because we are about to break down what it actually looks like to nourish your metabolism, to actually support your metabolism. And we are ditching diet culture. We are ditching all of what we learned from the diet books our moms had on their shelves.
BUT it's essential that we learn about what it’s actually in control of and how it impacts every aspect of our bodies…and that is what we are going to do right now. We're going to dive into how your metabolism connected to your hormones, your nervous system, your energy and even your risk of preventable disease.
And when I understood that full picture, yes I lost 30lbs, but when I did it while protecting and optimizing my metabolism I got more freedom than i ever had dieting.
A client shared in our community this week that for the first time EVER she got rid of of that bag of “fat” clothes that she kept in her closet, because she finally trusts herself and her body to maintain the weight she lost. And like let’s be real, to have that feeling of trust, of assurance of brain space to think about other goals, other things, like what would that feel like for you?
And honestly this is my mission to help other women do the same. to help you know that healing your metabolism isn’t just about putting that dress on that you bought 2 years ago and still doesn’t fit, it truly is about creating a strong body that has every ounce of energy that it needs and it’s not dependent on your schedule or your season, it’s just this constant in your life.
Because I KNOW that deep down you don’t just want to be providing for your family you want to be truly present fro them but right now your energy and your body just feels like a dead battery most days.
And that’s what we are going to help you unlock this week.
But here’s the thing—this didn’t just happen for me. I didn’t keep doing the things I’d always done and get results. I literally blazed an entirely new trail. And I literally had to put blinders on and get out of the dopamine rush I felt every time I started something new and instead stay in my own lane, not look at what any other fried was doing to lose weight, not look at the 1,000 posts of fitness influencers I’d been fed every day, stop adding another supplment to my cart because maybe that would make it go faster.
So this week I’m going to challenge you to do the same.
